About this taster workshop:
- It comes directly from the first lesson of my online class "Flower Flow". In this class, we start each topic with a mini series like the one I'm sharing here, before letting our inspiration bloom on a larger canvas!
- This short workshop is divided into 4 videos. They'll be available to watch at the links above until Sunday, 1 June (to keep lifetime access, join me in Flower Flow!)
- We'll start with a warm-up activity, then I'll guide you step by step as you create a small series of floral collages from start to finish. No drawing skills needed! This is about embracing the beauty of imperfection.

The Schedule
Mon. 26 May: PART 1
Let's warm up with some messy doodles! This is an opportunity for you to loosen up and invite YOUR flowers to bloom: imaginary, spontaneous and sweetly imperfect.

Tue. 27 May: PART 2
Time to play the florist! Let's create little bouquets with more collage elements to add texture and a touch of color. Then we'll start building up the layers of our backgrounds.
Wed. 28 May: PART 3
It's time to glue the different elements to our substrates. Just like in any bouquet, the key is to mindfully balance the organic feel with a bit of structure. Our little series is starting to take shape!
Thu. 29 May: PART 4
Let's add touches of color, and bring our little artworks together with some fun finishing touches. Then it will be time to remove the tape... always so exciting!
Sun. 1 June: Last Day!
This is the last day to watch the workshop videos and participate in the Facebook group.

Get your creative space ready!
Invite Inspiration
Before the workshop starts, I invite you to go on an inspiration quest! It's a wonderful way to warm up, open your eyes and make the process yours, so that you can create art that feels true to you. You could:
- Step outside with your camera and take the time to mindfully look at the plants around you: the leaves, flowers, colors, shapes… Snap a few pictures to bring back to your art space!
- Look around for floral patterns: floral prints on your clothes and accessories, home furnishings like pillows, curtains, bed linen, rugs...
- Create one or several Pinterest boards, full of floral inspiration: your favorite floral art, photos of flowers in nature, in gardens, in bouquets…
Your Creative Space
Before you get painting, it’s always a good idea to make your creative space inviting, nurturing and inspiring. Why not treat yourself to a lovely bouquet and place it on your art table?

You only need simple supplies for this collage project. Watch the video on this page and click below for a list of suggestions. Remember that you can always substitute what I use with something you prefer. Use what you've already got and what feels best to you, that's the fun of mixed media!
